Society Launched

JOHNSTOWN, PA., November 9, 2008 — Laurie Lee and Alexis Nicole Dovey announced the founding of the Clayton Cresswell Dovey Immortality of Influence Society (CCDIIS). The society honors the memory of both Clayton Cresswell Dovey Jr. and Clayton Cresswell Dovey III.

CCDIIS was established on Nov. 8, 2008, to perpetuate two, life principles as defined by the lives of the organization’s namesakes — the belief of Dovey Jr. that all individuals have a  responsibility to positively influence the lives of others and the principle of Dovey III that all men are brothers.

CCDIIS was launched by a group of individuals whose lives were directly changed as a result of the influence of one or both of the Clayts. The founders are: Russ Bailey, Ethan Blough, Jim Crisp, Alexis Nicole Dovey, Bully Boy Dovey, Laurie Lee Dovey, Carl Eric Easton, Dana Easton (Maguire), Betty Lou Fegely, Patrick Krumenacker, Shelly L. Moore, Josh Piro, Shirley Statler, and Bob Wheeling.

Laurie Lee and Alexis Nicole Dovey will serve as co-chairwomen of the society. Bob Wheeling will serve as president, Carl Eric Easton as vice president and Dana Easton (McGuire) as secretary treasurer. Adele Podolka Dovey was named chairwoman emeritus.

Membership in the organization is by invitation only. New members must be sponsored by a current member and approved by the founding fathers/board of governors. All members must also have been directly and positively influenced by either of the Clayts and/or a current life member. Membership is afforded for life.

The mission of the CCDIIS is to have a positive affect on others and define the organization’s and individual members’ success based upon the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson.
